Up, up and away!

Last night, I walked past a pasar malam on the way home and decided to have a Ramly burger for dinner. When handed my meal, I handed the guy $2.50. He looked at the money and told me it's now $2.80. Eh?

This morning, my ma bought me breakfast from Lorong Ah Soo. 10 sticks of fried carrot cake used to cost $1. It's now $2 for 16. Minimum order of $2.

Longtong is now $2.50 from $2.

Gas prices are up.

Taxi prices are up.

Bus prices are up.

Train prices are up.

ERP fares are up.

Utility prices are up.

School fees are up.

In fact, the only thing that is not up is our pay.

But what do I know? I'm just a peasant.
